We
serve those who seek to enhance their medical and legal recovery in brain
injury cases. We believe that early intervention is essential for prevention
of the secodary consequences of brain injury. We know that delays
may cost the family much more money and emotional distress over time. In
fact, in many cases it may not be necessary to pay up front for legal representation
in personal injury cases.
-
Free Legal services. Many
social service agencies offer Free Legal services to qualified individuals
in certain areas of the law. Typically, such agencies
do not provide
representation in personal injury cases because of the contingency fee
system (see below).
-
Contingency Fee System.
Allows individuals who have sustained injuries in motor vehicle collisions,
in work place accidents, and under other specific circumstances to obtain
legal services now and pay later.

-
This usually happens when an insurance adjuster
convinces the injured party, or his family, to settle for a relatively
small sum, before the full extent of injury or entitlement is clear.
-
In the rush to move beyond a painful and unpleasant
event, such as a car crash, many individuals eagerly accept a settlement
that is woefully inadequate.
-
They wrongfully believe that much of the distress
that they feel is due to the disruption and irritation of the injury claim.
-
Only, after it is too late do they realize just
how serious their injuries really were.
